We Love Mother Bruce!

Higgins, so much that we read it to nearly every class last week.  Then we raved about it to nearly every Upper School teacher that wandered in.   Mr. G decided his 7th grade Lit class should experience this hilarious story as well:FullSizeRender (5)

We discovered #awesome lists of the Top 100 Children’s Novels and Picture Books for the 21st Century, as voted upon by the readers of theSchool Library Journal.
We posted the list of novels in the library, and it’s been quite a point of interest all week.  Our students have been checking them out as fast as we can display them, and teachers have asked for the link, so we thought we’d share both of them with all of you… Could be great lists to keep handy!

In this list, the editors stretched the definition of what constitutes a “picture book” to include everything from board books to easy titles:
(In case you’re wondering, the readers of School Library Journal voted on what they felt were their own individual Top Ten Children’s Novels/Picture Books of all time. Points were given for rank and order and counted accordingly.)
